The Diversity in Clean Energy (DiCE) initiative is an action-based coalition, convened by Duke Energy, alongside corporations such as Kroger, Microsoft and T-Mobile, and representatives of diverse-owned businesses operating within the clean energy industry. This is a unique collaboration between utilities, corporations, and diverse-owned business within the clean energy industry. Each member brings their individual experiences and perspectives to the conversation and collectively we listen, develop empathy, and bring forth innovative opportunities to address the need for inclusivity within the clean energy industry.
The DiCE coalition advocates, drives visibility and opens doors of opportunity for diverse-owned businesses within the clean energy industry through various proactive networking, collaboration, and commercial engagement activities. We aim to amplify the voices of diverse-owned businesses using our collective associations, advocacy and good will.
At the center of the DiCE initiative is a no cost competitive platform comprised of diverse-owned businesses operating with the clean energy industry (plans to go public in Q3 2022).
The DiCE platform will be part of a broader ecosystem of educational, financial, and technical resources tailored to support diverse-owned businesses operating with the clean energy industry such as renewable energy development, installation and maintenance support, research and emerging technology, nuclear energy maintenance, electric vehicle transportation, Black and Indigenous farmers and landowners, legal and contract support, and consultants within the clean energy industry.
