Chris Broome is currently an Associate Director of the Global Energy & Sustainability Center of Excellence at Merck, where he assists over 40 North and South American manufacturing, research, and administrative facilities reduce their energy usage to meet strategic energy and sustainability corporate goals.
Chris is passionate about reducing energy consumption and costs. He has extensive experience in energy conservation, corporate energy management and sustainability programs, HVAC, and water conservation. Chris uses ENERGY STAR benchmarking tools on a regular basis and his efforts has helped Merck win the 2021 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for the 14th consecutive year. He is a Professional Engineer, member of the Association of Energy Engineers and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
