As corporate purchases of renewable energy have steadily increased over time, the criteria that buyers are looking for has also evolved. Over the last year, there has been a noticeable uptick in buyers who are embedding social and/or climate justice initiatives into their corporate renewable energy goals and purchasing strategies. Additionally, many corporate buyers are increasingly concerned about the residual impacts that renewable energy development has on the local communities where these projects are built. In this session, Smart Energy Decisions’ Debra Chanil will talk with Erin Horleman, Product Development Director at 3Degrees, and Sophia Gluck, ESG & Sustainability at Okta, about these social and climate justice trends, as well as some exciting new options for customers to have greater impact with their renewable energy procurements.
